Omas was an Italian manufacturer of high-quality writing instruments, including fountain pens. The company was founded in 1925 and became known for its craftsmanship and dedication to producing elegant and luxurious pens. Omas pens often had a distinctive and recognisable appearance. The brand’s commitment to individuality and uniqueness, both in design and materials, set Omas apart in a market.
Omas 1930 was manufactured by Omas around 1980s. The pen’s style took direction from the art deco style of OMAS in 1930s-1940s. The barrel and cap are made of 12-faceted cotton resin barrel and cap, with gold plated trim. Its length is about 12cm. It has a fix piston. The nib is a 18k (Au 750) medium flexible nib.
It’s worth noting that Omas faced financial difficulties and eventually went bankrupt in 2015. As a result, new Omas pens are no longer being produced, and existing models have become sought-after collector’s items.
